On 24 September 2026, a practical employment-focused event was held in Varna within the framework of the ANCHOR project, organised by BATTI in cooperation with the Directorate “Labour Bureau” – Varna and the employer Eurotex.
The initiative brought together 12 jobseekers and guided them through several important stages of the employment process within a single day — from preparing strong application documents and improving interview skills to meeting an employer directly and visiting a real working environment.
Practical Training for Better Access to the Labour Market
The event started at 09:00 with a presentation of the ANCHOR project, its main objectives and the activities aimed at improving access to the labour market and supporting people who are actively looking for employment.
The introductory session highlighted the importance of practical support, stronger links with employers and better preparation for the different stages of the job application process.
CV, Motivation Letter and Job Interview Preparation
The programme continued with a practical training session delivered by an expert from the Directorate “Labour Bureau” – Varna.
The session focused on the preparation of a strong CV and motivation letter, as well as on effective self-presentation during a job interview.
Participants received practical guidance on how to present their experience, knowledge and personal strengths clearly and convincingly to a potential employer.
Special attention was also given to important soft skills, including:
- communication;
- adaptability;
- teamwork;
- responsibility;
- the ability to respond effectively to different workplace situations.
The training also explored how previous professional experience and workplace challenges can be transformed into valuable lessons and used as a basis for future professional development.
Employer Open Day at Eurotex
At 10:30, the event continued with its second practical component — an Employer Open Day at Eurotex.
Participants visited the company’s offices and production facility in Varna, where representatives of Eurotex presented the company’s activities, the organisation of the work process, different job roles and day-to-day operations.
This gave participants the opportunity to experience a real working environment, observe production processes first-hand and ask questions directly to representatives of the employer.
Current Vacancies and Real Employment Opportunities
During the visit, participants also received information about current vacancies at Eurotex.
This turned the company visit into more than an informative activity. It also created a direct opportunity for participants to explore potential employment opportunities and gain a better understanding of employers’ expectations.
From Preparation to Direct Contact with an Employer
The event concluded at 12:00.
Its combined format allowed participants to move directly from practical preparation for the application process to contact with a real employer and a real workplace.
This approach helped connect theoretical guidance with practical experience and demonstrated how targeted support can make the transition to employment more accessible and effective.
Stronger Cooperation Between Institutions, Organisations and Employers
The initiative demonstrated the importance of effective cooperation between organisations, public institutions and businesses in supporting people who are looking for employment.
Through activities of this kind, the ANCHOR project aims to strengthen the links between jobseekers, the institutions that support them and employers that can offer real opportunities for employment and professional development.
