BATTI presents an informational video dedicated to the pilot activities implemented at ports within the international DANOVA NEXT project.
The video introduces practical solutions and improvements aimed at creating a more accessible, safe and inclusive port environment for persons with disabilities and passengers with reduced mobility.
Travelling by water may involve a number of barriers, including inaccessible infrastructure, insufficient passenger information, difficulties when moving through terminals and limited opportunities for independent navigation. Through the DANOVA NEXT pilot activities, partner ports are developing and testing solutions based on the real needs of passengers.
The measures presented in the video include infrastructure improvements, more accessible passenger information, digital solutions, appropriate signage and organisational measures supporting the effective assistance of people with different types of disabilities.
An important element of the project is the direct involvement of users in evaluating the tested solutions. Their feedback helps transport operators identify existing barriers and introduce practical improvements that support safer and more independent travel.
DANOVA NEXT promotes the exchange of experience and good practices among ports, airports, urban public transport operators, expert organisations and representatives of persons with disabilities from different countries across the Danube Region.
