BATTI was proud to take part in the Transnational Project Meeting of the DANOVA NEXT project, held on 29–30 May 2025 in the historic coastal town of Kotor, Montenegro. This key gathering brought together project partners from across the Danube Region to review the progress of ongoing activities, share pilot experiences, and plan the next strategic steps for improving transport accessibility for persons with disabilities.
The meeting opened with a warm welcome and was followed by a comprehensive session on project coordination and financial monitoring, led by Dubrovnik Airport. Partners discussed the current status of project implementation and outlined upcoming deliverables with a focus on transparency and shared responsibility.
A central topic of the agenda was the creation of a Smart Transport Network for digital accessibility data. The various pilot activities being implemented throughout the Danube Region were showcased. Partners from Dubrovnik, Budapest, Podgorica, Tivat, Sarajevo, Chisinau, Kotor, Pula, Maribor, Prague/Pilsen, and Bratislava shared insights into their local pilot initiatives. Each pilot aims to test innovative services that can significantly improve transport accessibility and user experience for PRM communities.
The second day of the meeting focused on specialized working sessions:
- A deep-dive into terminology alignment, essential for the standardization of accessibility data,
- And a collaborative discussion on the features and user interface of the DANOVA NEXT mobile application.
BATTI remains committed to advancing the objectives of DANOVA NEXT and fostering an inclusive, digitally accessible transport system for all. We look forward to continued collaboration with our partners as we move closer to our shared goals.
