Today, on 1 June International Children’s Day, we are pleased to look back on an inspiring event that brought together children, parents and organisations around the idea that learning, play and care for nature can go hand in hand.
On 30 May in Varna, BATTI had the pleasure of taking part in Eco Kids Tour 26 as a partner of the event. The initiative was dedicated to children, nature, knowledge and a more sustainable future, while BATTI’s participation focused on one of the most important topics for all of us, the air we breathe.
During the event, BATTI presented the international project AIRQUEST – Know What You Breathe, which raises awareness of air quality and the ways in which we can keep our cities and nature cleaner.
The main goal of our participation was to show children, in an accessible, engaging and enjoyable way, why clean air is important for health, the environment and quality of life in urban areas. Instead of a traditional presentation, the BATTI team prepared an interactive area with games, missions, logical tasks and prizes.
At the BATTI stand, children stepped into the role of young guardians of clean air. They took part in various activities, including colouring tasks on the topics of nature, the city and clean air, as well as logical challenges such as a maze, “eco detective”, crossword, “match correctly” and other fun educational tasks.
One of the highlights of the day was the Wheel of Fortune. Each child who completed 3 missions of their choice had the opportunity to spin the wheel and win one of the prepared prizes. In this way, learning became a game, and important messages reached the children through experience, participation and fun.
For us, there is no better moment to share this story than Children’s Day, a day that reminds us how important it is to support children’s curiosity, knowledge and active participation. Children are the future guardians of our cities, nature and the air we all breathe.
BATTI would like to thank all children, parents and guests who visited our stand and joined our mission for cleaner air in Varna. Their smiles, questions and enthusiasm showed that when important topics are presented in an accessible and interactive way, they can inspire even the youngest participants.
