We are pleased to share the second edition of the ANCHOR e-Newsletter, marking nearly one year of strong transnational cooperation under the Interreg Danube Region Programme.

Over the past months, the ANCHOR partnership, bringing together 12 partners from 8 countries, has moved decisively from strategic groundwork towards concrete implementation. The partner meeting in Varna was a key milestone, focusing not only on coordination and reporting but on strengthening the Transnational Strategy and preparing the upcoming pilot actions.

Across the Danube Region, Local Labour Market Forums are now being established and activated. From Bulgaria, Hungary, Serbia, Croatia, Slovenia, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Austria, to Ukraine, partners are engaging municipalities, employment services, chambers, universities, NGOs, and businesses in structured dialogue and joint planning.

Key highlights from this edition include:

✔ Preparation of local pilot actions aimed at improving job attractiveness and integrating vulnerable groups
✔ Development of the ANCHOR Transnational Strategy for improved labour market governance
✔ Launch of Local Labour Market Forums as permanent cooperation platforms
✔ Innovative analytical tools such as the ANCHOR Explorer dashboard
✔ Youth and veterans-focused surveys and targeted employment initiatives

The partnership is entering a crucial phase where planning transitions into real-life testing and implementation. The coming months will bring tangible results across the region.
