The AIRQUEST International Symposium: Clean Air for a Sustainable and Healthy Future will take place on 27-29 April 2026 in the vibrant coastal city of Zonguldak, Türkiye. The event is organised within the framework of the AIRQUEST project, co-funded by the European Union under the Interreg Black Sea Basin Programme.
The symposium will be hosted by Zonguldak Bülent Ecevit University and will take place at the prestigious Sezai Karakoç Cultural Centre. Its main objective is to strengthen air quality monitoring, raise public awareness, and promote international cooperation in support of cleaner air, green transformation, and a healthier future.
The international symposium will bring together researchers, policymakers, institutional representatives, environmental experts, stakeholders, and young innovators who share a common commitment to improving air quality and protecting public health. Through the exchange of knowledge, good practices, and innovative approaches, the event will contribute to the development of sustainable solutions for better air quality in the Black Sea Basin and beyond.
Designed as a hybrid international event, the symposium will welcome participants both on-site and online. This format will ensure broad accessibility, dynamic international engagement, and wider participation from stakeholders across different sectors and countries. Participation in the symposium is free of charge, reflecting the AIRQUEST project’s commitment to inclusive knowledge sharing and broad stakeholder involvement.
