Reviewing Project Implementation and Final Deliverables

During the meeting, the partners reviewed the completion of the main project activities, outputs and indicators.

Discussions focused on the preparation of the Final Project Report, the collection of supporting evidence and the remaining documentation needed to ensure the successful completion of the project.

The consortium also reviewed the financial implementation of AIRQUEST, including budget utilisation and the eligibility of project costs.

Sustainability of AIRQUEST Results

Particular attention was given to the long-term sustainability of the project results.

The partners discussed how the AIRQUEST online platform, educational resources and experience generated through the project can continue to support:

  • citizens;
  • schools and educational communities;
  • public institutions;
  • organisations and other stakeholders.

The aim is to ensure that the tools and knowledge developed within AIRQUEST remain useful and accessible beyond the formal end of the project.

Lessons Learned and Regional Cooperation

The closing meeting also provided an opportunity for the partners to exchange lessons learned and reflect on the wider impact of AIRQUEST.

The discussions highlighted the project’s contribution to:

  • increased environmental awareness;
  • stronger stakeholder cooperation;
  • improved exchange of knowledge and experience;
  • enhanced regional collaboration across the Black Sea area.

These results demonstrate the value of transnational cooperation in addressing environmental challenges that extend beyond national borders.

Final Reporting and Study Visit

During the second day of the meeting, the partners reviewed the final reporting process and clarified the remaining steps required for project closure.

The programme also included a visit to the Clean Air and Biodiversity site at the Danube Cliffs and Horses Island, providing an opportunity to connect the project discussions with practical environmental initiatives and local biodiversity.

Ensuring the Long-Term Visibility of AIRQUEST

The meeting concluded with a shared commitment to complete the remaining project tasks efficiently and to ensure the long-term visibility, accessibility and use of AIRQUEST results.

Although the project is approaching its formal end, the knowledge, tools and cooperation developed through AIRQUEST are expected to continue supporting environmental awareness and action in the years ahead.
