On January 29th, 2026, the MED-Routes partnership gathered in Zagreb for the last Transnational Project Meeting (TPM), hosted by Libertas University. The meeting marked a crucial milestone as the consortium enters the final phase of project implementation and closure.
Strategic Progress & Final Phase Coordination
The Lead Partner presented the overall project progress, highlighting:

Financial performance and budget monitoring
The consortium confirmed that activities are progressing successfully, with strong control over expenditure and final reporting procedures aligned with programme requirements.
Strengthening Institutional Engagement
Under WP3, partners shared the outcomes of training sessions with institutional stakeholders and tourism operators.
The feedback received was overwhelmingly positive, with:

Ministries expressing interest in disseminating MED-Routes as a best practice

Institutional actors are committing to integrating the project methodology into their agendas

Strong local engagement in eco-itinerary development
Notably, the Croatian Ministry of Tourism expressed interest in presenting MED-Routes within the EUSAIR framework.
Policy Integration & Action Plans
Within WP4, partners finalised their MED-Routes Action Plans aimed at integrating eco-itineraries into policy-making structures. Executive summaries will be added to enhance accessibility and strategic clarity.
The project also reinforced its dissemination at the European level, including:

Looking Ahead
As MED-Routes approaches its official closure on 31 March 2026, the partnership reaffirmed its commitment to:

The Zagreb TPM confirmed once again the strength of transnational cooperation in promoting sustainable and policy-oriented cultural tourism in the Mediterranean.
